The application talks to the charging stations and to the browser, and to nobody else.

  • Exactly one way in is open to the outside.
  • Notifications appear inside the application itself.
  • Sending e-mail is outside the scope of the product.
  • Every sign-in and every change is written to the organisation log.
  • The application runs in a data centre in Germany.

What an IT review usually asks.

How does a charging station sign in?

Over an encrypted connection with an ID and password of its own. Wrong details fail during the handshake.

What happens if a station password is lost?

It is generated again and shown once. The station receives the new value in its configuration.

Can one organisation see the data of another?

No. Each organisation sees its own records, and there is no reporting across organisations.

What does an organisation see for a visiting card?

The energy charged per provider. The card number and the person stay hidden.

Is there a sign-in through a central service?

No. Accounts live in the installation itself. A second factor is planned and not included today.

How are passwords stored?

Unreadable in the database. A lost password is generated again, never read out.
